Patrick Wackerly is a Managing Director at Gerchen Capital Partners, where he is responsible for managing the firm's investment process and ongoing monitoring of the portfolio.
Most recently, Patrick was a Portfolio Manager and Director at Burford Capital. At Burford, Patrick managed multiple private funds focused on post-settlement litigation finance opportunities while also leading Burford's underwriting team for its "near-post" investment fund.
Prior to Burford, Patrick was an analyst at Gerchen Keller Capital, underwriting all varieties of commercial litigation finance opportunities. He also practiced at Sidley Austin, where he focused on complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters, as well as representing clients in regulatory investigations conducted by the SEC, PCAOB, and FINRA.
Patrick graduated with high honors from the University of Notre Dame. He received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Chicago Law School, where he served as the Managing Editor of the University of Chicago Law Review.
