Rod Bastidas serves as Vice President, Asset Management at Gerchen Capital Partners, where he supports the management of the firm's investments, with a focus on investment monitoring, valuation, cash flow forecasting, and analytics.
Prior to joining GCP, Rod was at Meketa Investment Group, where he managed cash and trading activity, evaluated fund managers on behalf of institutional clients, and developed analytics and reporting tools supporting more than $10 billion in client assets. Before Meketa, he was an Associate Vice President at Aptimus Capital Partners in Madrid, where he oversaw operations and portfolio monitoring for a €275 million closed-end private credit CLO.
Earlier, Rod was part of Hamilton Lane's Latin America team, where he evaluated private markets fund managers on behalf of Mexican pension fund clients. He also served as an Associate at StepStone Group, where he was part of the portfolio analytics and reporting team supporting the infrastructure asset class. He began his career as a Business Analyst at Vervent, a private credit loan servicer.
Rod earned his MBA and his undergraduate degree in Economics from Point Loma Nazarene University.
